Back-Country Skiing – a unique nature experience
The "Zillertal Arena", and Gerlos especially, offers a wide range of opportunities for back-country skiing. Whether you are a rookie or an experienced tourer - Gerlos and its side valleys are a great tip for interesting, variety-packed back-country routes.

Arena Sledding Adventures & Hut Atmosphere
Any real winter vacation here with us in the Zillertal simply has to include an old-fashioned sledding expedition, along with a stop at a mountain hut!

The longest sled run in Zillertal (also floodlit) is on the Hainzenberg. This 7 km-long sled run is a must for your wintertime visit to Gerlos.
There is also a 1.5 km--long sled run in Krummbachtal (floodlit).
Arena Coaster – the 1st alpine rollercoaster
Winter and summer sledding experience on the very 1st alpine rollercoaster in the Zillertal. This 1,450 m-long coaster begins right next to the valley terminal of the lifts for the Zillertal Arena, promising countless undulations, banked curves and jumps. In other words, pure exhilaration!

Arena Coaster – the 1st Alpine Rollercoaster
This new version of sledding in Zillertal is exciting for everyone, and not just the kids: fun, action and speed all await you on the first alpine rollercoaster in the Zillertal. The 1,450 meters of coaster fun begins right next to the valley terminal of the lifts for the Zillertal Arena in Zell, and with its countless undulations, banked curves and jumps, promises to become the No. 1 area attraction. A 360° loop and another 540° loop guarantee yet another great adrenaline rush.
Cross the country
… from December until Easter, on a 200 km-long network of tracked, snowy cross-country ski trails!

Enjoy a romantic stroll together - amid the gloriously snow-covered winter countryside of Gerlos and its five side valleys.
