Hiking region Gerlos has one big advantage: Guests, who are not fond of demanding ascends, can hike to their hearts content in flat surroundings. Our 5 side valleys Schwarzachtal, Schönachtal, Wildgerlostal, Wimmertal and Krummbachtal besides the Krimmler Achental offer ample opportunity for great hiking tours through alpine pastures. It only takes approx. 1 hour on foot to get to these valleys.

The area, at a height of 1.230 m to 3.303 m, covers 9000 hectares and consists of three authentic and alpine mountain valleys within the municipal territory of Gerlos in Zillertal - Wimmertal, Schönachtal, Krummbachtal.
The entire hunting ground has well-constructed forest roads and hunting cabins, in which hunting guests can have a break or stay overnight.
